We are Proud to be the clinic that brought the First  Women’s Health physiotherapy program to Camrose in 2003.

Building over 17 years on that basis, we now offer services to women of all ages!

Each women has a personal consultation with a Womens’ health physiotherapist to make a individual treatment plan.

In most cases, women have an internal exam at that appointment to determine the strength, structure, endurance and co-ordination of their pelvic floor muscles.

Once this is mapped out, our therapist will design a strategy to address the areas of concern.

Appropriate exercises and habit changes can be planned and a timeline constructed.

Over a series of treatments you will touch base with your physiotherapist as you work on reaching your goals.

Our Women’s Health Therapists

Carli graduated from the U of A MScPT program in 2014. She has practiced in private physiotherapy settings as well as hospitals since that time, treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions. A few years ago she took a special interest in pelvic health, and beginning in April 2018 has taken courses on assessment and treatment of incontinence, male and female pelvic pain, treatment of persistent pain, exercises for the sensitive nervous system, and treatment of pelvic girdle pain. In her spare time Carli raises three children and loves books, spending time with family and being active.

Crystal has practiced Physical Therapy for over 30 years. She took an interest in Women’s health in 2003 when only one clinic in Northern Alberta offered pelvic Physiotherapy. The waiting list to get an appointment there was 3 years long!

She attended the American Physical Therapy Association accredited course in the Summer that year, and followed up with numerous courses in both Canada and USA since then.

Crystal is the owner of Battle River Physical Therapy and is continuously bringing Physiotherapy innovations to this community.
